ELDERS is the new band of Tom Pintens en Laurence Roothooft. They work and live together in Antwerp, Belgium. Tom Pintens is known as a member of Het Zesde Metaal, Roosbeef, Dez Mona and in the past of Tamino, Zita Swoon and Flowers for Breakfast. Laurence Roothooft is an actress, performer and singer.
With ELDERS they create a whole new sound. Electronic popmusic with (harmonic) vocals, mesmerizing synths, beats and guitar. ELDERS consists of 2 people but sometimes sounds like more people. In a world full of mysterious glitter they sing about (their) love and life like two wandering souls.
ELDERS started in 2018. Tom and Laurence felt the need of creating a world together by making music. They have been working thoroughly on the perfect sound and lyrics together with matching visuals.
‘Leaves’ is their first single. A dark mysterious song with repetitive lyrics. Hypnotic and danceable. Some refer to Kavinsky's ‘Nightcall’, The XX, London Grammar and Portishead.
