ELECTRIC STANDARD is a trio that plays rock, blues and soul with the sound, spirit and enthusiasm of the earliest rock 'n' roll combos. The band is proud to announce the release of their second full length album, LADY LUCK & THE GRAND VIZIER. Released at the start of 2023, the album was recorded at Second Story Studios, with Bill Mason again adeptly handling recording, mixing, and mastering duties. The tarot themed artwork was created by Zach Peterson.
Here’s what early reviews are saying about the new album:
“This feels like a timeless album, in short – a fantastic project, from a band who undoubtedly devote their artistic efforts to exploring and understanding the depths of the human state; what it’s all about, the why, the when, the how. It’s a faultlessly written and recorded collection, joyful to let play but also profound and powerful when you need it to be.”
-Rebecca Cullen, Stereo Stickman
“Once again we find the group bending genres into their own timeless Rock/Pop vibe.”
-Bob Smith, The Static Dive
Electric Standard performs regularly in the greater Boston area. They released their debut album, Vintage Circuitry, in early 2020. Their work also appears on two compilations released by Lowbudget Records: You Can't Always Want What You Get: A Tribute to the Rolling Stones, and Loving the Aliens: A Tribute to David Bowie.
“ . . . savvy songcrafting bolstered by equally sharp musicianship . . . re-defining the meaning of power-trio pop.” -- Metronome Magazine
