ELIA

Elia Ezker is the latin indie project of Ignacio Rafael Izquierdo, an Ecuadorian artist based in Los Angeles. Formerly known as ELIA, he has produced two albums: 'Sentir' (2014) and 'Futuro Humano' (2016), which were well received by critics both in Latin America and in American music portals such as: KEXP and Remezcla. Ignacio jump-started his music career by singing for a Sony TV commercial, later performing a live session on KEXP radio in Seattle (February, 2016), and has opened for distinguished Latin American musicians such as: GEPE, Javiera Mena, La Vida Boheme and Francisca Valenzuela. His music has been described as "exuberant soundscapes that evoke his deep Andean roots without resorting to stereotypical sound" (Richard Villegas, Remezcla), "the debut LP Futuro Humano finds Elia sonically filled out - it's a thick, shimmering and driving synth pop dreamland." (DJ Chilly, KEXP) and "emotive and futuristic but contemplative, which traps the synthesis of electronic with organic" (Joel Azose , musician). He is currently working with producer Steven Aguilar on his second full length album titled Flora which will be released in 2019.
