Elias Kiflu

Elias Kiflu is an artist, producer and director who lives and works in Finfinne/Addis Ababa. His music respects his homeland, an immersive musical experience that transports you to Oromia with a unique personal style that emits peace and unity while showcasing the vibrant and colourful Oromo culture and history.


Ebbisa Addunya, Abitew Kebede and Ali Birra are respected Oromo artists who have had a major influence on Elias’ work. Obsessed at an early age he would listen to his favourite artists on a cassette player. Like many musicians, he speaks of the universal experience of love, but he feels compelled to bring focus on social injustice that occurs to the voiceless in the country. He finds the music to be a perfect reflection of the often-uncontrollable world around us. Time has changed but music and love for his nation remain his passion.


Elias Kiflu has been honing his skills in music and directing for the past 16 years. Elias unified music with his passion for activism, bringing about a perfect union.
Until recently Elias's music was found only on YouTube. It is available on all primary streaming services. Keeping an eye out for new releases, there is more in store for 2023.
