Elin Swenson

Elin Swenson, who hails from Värnamo, Sweden, is a country/folk singer-songwriter whose greatest influencers are Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton and Simon & Garfunkel. She’s also been compared to Tammy Wynette, considering the fragile sound in her voice.

She fell in love with country as a little girl when she’d just bought one of her first album’s (by Brooks & Dunn) on a vacation in Sarasota, FL, USA. She played in on repeat all the way home across the Atlantic Ocean. It made her feel so incredibly good, and so from there on she knew she wanted to make and write music of her own.

She’s loved singing all her life and had her first vocal performance at age 10. Growing up, she’s practiced her singing voice with several singing teachers and by age 14, she was self taught on the guitar as well.

Somewhat older, she started to write her own songs, which turned out to be therapeutic. Life’s ups and downs became a bit easier coping with once written down.

She’s played in a few bands and had a couple of duos, but now she’s searching for her very own unique sound, writing songs and singing alongside playing her acoustic guitar.

About releasing her newly written single, “Big little feelings”, she states: ‘it’s an emotional country song about love, friendship, and showing up for each other. This release feels real scary, but at the same time it’s one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done!’
