Elisha K is an Afrobeats virtuoso who hails from Bamenda Cameroon just like Libianca. This Afrobeats prodigy is blazing a trail for himself and a new crop of talented artists from the Anglophone region of Cameroon, attempting to export his sound and culture, into the afrobeats world.

Elisha was born and grew up in Limbe, a city located about 5 hours drive from the Cameroon - Nigerian border towns of Ekok into Ikom. Born in a Bilingual country, his region which is English Speaking, makes up only about 20% of the country and the entertainment culture there mainly influenced by afrobeats which flows in across the border from Nigeria. In the early 2000s - 2010s, a steady stream of CDs from Nigerian artists like 2 Face, Style Plus, P Square, Timaya, Bracket, African China, Flavour etc, continuously arrived across the border and was massively consumed by his English speaking community, who could easily relate to the music. This content inflow shaped their culture, making this community an afrobeats stronghold.

However, with Cameroon being mostly French speaking and geopolitically placed in the Francophone-influenced Central African region, Elisha’s English speaking community of about 8 million people has been obscured and cutoff from from the afrobeats world, which doesn’t even know of it’s existence

Elisha has decided to brave the odds and set out on a mission to bring his own contribution to afrobeats, as an ambassador leadin the way for his people into the afrobeats world
