Ella Korth is a guitar and banjo player and emotive singer-songwriter. Growing up in a musical family in Canada exposed her to bluegrass and Old-Time music. Ella has toured as a side person, playing banjo and mandolin across North America and the UK with Leith Ross, guitar in John Reischman's band at the Canadian Folk Music Awards showcase, and frequently tours and collaborates with Trent Freeman and Madeleline Roger (The Fretless).
Ella made her debut album in Nashville, TN, produced by John Mailander (recording artist with Billy Strings and Bruce Hornsby), which is set to be released in 2025.
With her band, Ella has played several bluegrass festivals including NimbleFingers, the Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival in Northern Canada, Cowichan Bluegrass, and Oly Old-Time in Washington State. Ella's songwriting is shaped by the traditional music she grew up playing, and her passion for painting which has changed how she observes the world around her.
