Ella Poletti was born in Connecticut, grew up in Florida, and then moved to Indiana, where she attended a performing arts high school in Bloomington. After her parents split, her home life became abusive, and music was her only escape. She spent hours recording covers and writing music, publishing the former to YouTube and Spotify, where she amassed millions of plays. The second she turned 18, Ella packed her things and moved to Los Angeles in 2018.
Since then, Ella has been writing and collaborating with other artists, as well as recording music of her own. She is heavily influenced by the likes of Kid Cudi, Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, and Buddy Holly.
