Ellen Shieh is an Orange County-based violinist, singer-songwriter. While studying psychology at the University of California, Irvine, Ellen came out to the world as a singer at the 2016 Soulstice Talent Competition, winning over both the judges (Overall Winner) and 3,000+ people in the audience (People’s Choice Winner) with her heartfelt rendition of Whitney Houston's “I Have Nothing”.
Ellen strives to perform with purpose: her song "Codependency" spreads the word about toxic, codependent relationships and S.L.A.A. (Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous). "Bloom" was written while she pursued her Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences. The song was inspired by children with autism who always felt like they were not learning fast enough. She successfully raised $3,000 for The Autism Community in Action.
An avid collaborator, she has been featured on songs such as “Dreamweaver” (with Luke Anders & BEAUZ) and “Be Together” (with MVSE). She frequently works with her close friend Khue (Formally known as TheKHUE). Her most recent appearance was at iHeartRadio’s live sessions series in New York City, performing Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” alongside Eztioko.
Ellen regularly performs live in Anaheim and Santa Ana, California, volunteering her time for charity work and serving those experiencing homelessness. You can find her on Youtube (ellenshiehofficial) and Instagram (ellenshiehofficial).
