Ellen & Simona

Ellen & Simona is an indie-folk project. After living in England for a few years, she returned to her hometown in the west of Catalonia with a pile of songs that she decides to record and formalize in the his first EP entitled Salvation Mountain. She has just published 'Open Water', an album where the accordion is the backbone of all the tracks. A whole journey that will go from the arid landscapes of America to the roar of the Mediterranean sea.

Ellen & Simona és un projecte d'indie-folk liderat per l'Helena Capdevila i la seva acordió Simona. Després de viure uns anys a Anglaterra, formant-se com a músic i liderant el seu projecte de cantautora sota el nom de Helen, torna al seu poble natal a l’oest de Catalunya amb una pila de cançons que decideix enregistrar i formalitzar en el seu primer treball d’estudi titulat Salvation Mountain. Un àlbum de sonoritat folk i unes lletres amb un imaginari molt existencialista. Aquest octubre ha auto-publicat amb Simona records el seu àlbum 'Open Water'. La seva música és fràgil, evocadora i nostàlgica. Tot un viatge sonor que anirà des dels paisatges àrids d'Amèrica fins la remor del mar mediterrani.
