Elli Schoen

Schoen – who moonlights as a hairdresser – has performed at Falls Downtown, Fremantle’s answer to Falls Festival, two years running. For her 2018 slot, she was selected by triple j unearthed as their Falls winner. A staple on the WA festival rounds, she has performed the Perth International Arts Festival (twice), WAM Fest (twice), SOTA Festival (twice), Wave Rock Weekender, Rottofest and many more. She has also played a slew of supporting slots for high profile artists including Ben Folds, Tash Sultana, Gang of Youths, Billy Bragg, Ocean Alley, Ali Barter, Killing Heidi, Airling, Julien Baker, Bec Sandridge and even Ronan Keating.

In 2017, Schoen released her hotly awaited sophomore EP Gold Mess produced by Joel Quartermain (Meg Mac, Eskimoe Joe). The first two singles Hard Heart and Mumma saw her break onto the national scene, with both tracks pricking up many industry ears and the former premiering on Rolling Stone Australia. Third single and EP title track Gold Mess was premiered on triple J’s Home and Hosed.

Last May, Schoen released ‘Shark’, a hauntingly beautiful ode to love gone wrong, which was premiered on triple j and backed by a co-headline national tour with Brisbane’s Asha Jeffries.
After a brief hiatus to focuc creatively, Elli is gearing up to unveil her new, bolder sound, with a release scheduled for winter. Tour dates will be announced with a slick new festival-ready live act.
