Ellie Lovegrove is a Ngarrindjeri singer/songwriter, Mother, Aboriginal Health Worker and community advocate for First Nations people. Ellie has been singing since she was 10 years old, first sharing her soulful voice with her family and friends.
Later studying with the Centre for Aboriginal Studies in Music (CASM) at the University of Adelaide, Ellie discovered a love for the interconnected role music plays within culture, community and the togetherness it brings, and developed a passion for performing. This became a pathway for Ellie’s incredible vocals to be heard nationally in 2013, as a Top 12 finalist on the music show ‘X-Factor’ where she was mentored and coached by Redfoo.
Post X-Factor, Ellie went on to connect with iconic Australian musicians like Troy Cassar-Daley, Jessica Mauboy, Emma Donovan, and Paul Kelly. Ellie collaborated with hip hop mastermind Jimblah, singer/songwriter Emily Wurramara, plus two appearances on Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’ In 2023, Ellie released her first offical single ‘Im Gonna Fly’, with the late Archie Roach.
With her natural vocal range and depth, passion for caring for community, and her warm and generous spirit, Ellie continues to engage and captivate her audiences with her genuine gratitude for life and music.
