Elliot Crampton is an Irish singer-songwriter from Greystones, County Wicklow. He is a postman by day and an audio engineer by night. Elliot is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who plays the drums, bass, guitar, mandolin, piano and records, produces and mixes his own music. Having won the local talent competition at the age of twelve with original songs, a few short years later at the age of sixteen Elliot found himself being flown to the UK and sitting in the head of A&R's office of Island Records, London and Chrysalis Publishing with his songs being sung back to him.
Elliot went on to front a band called Redwoods for five years who performed on the RTE Late Late Show and festivals across Ireland. After they disbanded, Elliot's confidence and direction towards following his dream took a knock and he took a break from performing. In the following few years he travelled to China, Japan, Vietnam and parts of Europe and became an adult (he thinks).
He returned to the Irish music scene with the release of his song ''Voice of a Smoker'' a song penned for his mother and his late grannies which garnered radio play all over the country including a position in the RTE Recommends Playlist for two weeks and with Ed Smith on TodayFM. A follow up single called ''Bold and Free'' was released on May 19th and features a string quartet arranged and composed by Fiachra Trench who has worked with some of Elliot's musical heroes such as Paul McCartney and Phil Lynott to name a few.
