Elliot & The Ghost came together in 2014 in New York City. The band’s first performances were held in old Brooklyn loft spaces and scuzzy dives, but within a year’s time the group was invited as direct support for Weezer and Gary Clark Jr., and has since shared stages with the late B.B. King, Shakey Graves, Parquet Courts, amongst many others.
Artist Direct praised Elliot & The Ghost as “a vibrant painting with sonic colors spanning Nick Cave-style cinematic musings, surfed-up post-punk guitars evocative of The Smiths and The Clash, and eerily danceable beats that prove instantly magnetic. You've just got to let Elliot & The Ghost haunt you.” Culture Collide lauded them as "cohesive, dynamic, and built to stand the test of time. There’s no shortage of young rock bands in NYC, but Elliot & The Ghost manage to sound fresh and unique in a saturated field. They energize with enough pop to be instantly catchy, enough rock n’ roll to keep a raw edge, and enough variety to stay endlessly engaged.”
The band completed a North American tour along with a handful of festival appearances in support of their four initial single releases.
With the release of their debut EP 'Grahlahla' and recognition as one of New York’s finest live acts, Elliot & The Ghost were very much on the verge of breaking out. The lead single 'Frenchie' garnered new audiences worldwide and can be heard in rotation on indie/mainstream radio and SiriusXM.
