ELMA debuted in 2022 with her EP 'Rain Clouds'. The EP was critically acclaimed and earned her a nomination for R&B/Soul Artist of the year at the Manifest Gala. The creative force behind ELMA is the writer, singer, and pianist Matilda Gratte. A Berklee College of Music alumni, Gratte has toured extensively and penned music for some of Sweden’s most renowned artists. ELMA has quickly gained recognition for her unique sound and captivating performances. In addition, she composes music for film and TV. Her second EP 'Scenic Route', which unfolds across nine tracks, released in late 2024 and was nominated for Best Hip Hop/R&B by GAFFA.
