Emeline Scales grew up and currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina, surrounded by bluegrass music. She fell in love with songwriting at a young age and preformed whenever she could. Her Appalachian roots certainly show in her music, alongside pop influences like Taylor Swift and Dodie Clark. Emeline is the author of her own life, utilizing harmony, clever lyrics, and a brutal honesty to tell her stories to the tune of folk pop. She is currently enrolled in the songwriting and music production major at Berklee Online while she gets her teaching degree from NC State. In 2019, Emeline released her EP, Kind of a Stretch, as her high school senior project. Then in 2021 she released her debut album, Not So Bad After All. She wrote, recorded, and produced both records with help from professional producers.
