18-year-old singer-songwriter Emerson is a pop artist who fuses emotional depth with a distinct Kiwi indie flair. She connects deeply with her teenaged fan base through her relatable lyrics and engaging live shows. She smashed out her last year of high school in 2024 -a year early - to devote herself to music fulltime.
The 2024 Rockquest Solo-Duo winner has hit the New Zealand's music scene in 2025 with three single releases and a regional tour, with her second headline show in the works. Her first release of the year, “You Really Must Hate Me!” debuted in the #10 spot on the official Aotearoa Hot 20 Singles Chart in February. It has since garnered international attention with four Spotify Editorial playlist placements, including *hits different*, Pop n’ Fresh and Fresh Finds Pop. Her latest single “Tip of My Tongue” is supported by an NZ on Air New Music grant. It recently reached #17 in the Aotearoa's Hot 20 chart.
Emerson has shared the stage with some of New Zealand’s rising pop artists, with support slots for Bella Rafflyn, Will Swinton and Frankie Venter. She spent the month of May touring with Frankie on the North Island leg of her "Like it Like That' Tour. Emerson has co-written songs with Frankie Venter (including “ Like it Like That”), as well as Teo Glacier, Keenan Te, Macey, Lucy Gray and Rosetta.
