Emilie Malene

Hi! My name is Emilie Malene. I’m a twenty year old independent artist and singer / songwriter from Ålesund, Norway. I’ve been writing songs for as long as I can remember but started to pursue music when I was 18 y/o.


This last year has been spent traveling, writing, recording, doing gigs, planning my releases, moving from my hometown and starting on my studies. I’m very inspired by the Norwegian indie/pop scene, and all the incredible female artists Norway has to offer. As a songwriter I’m very inspired by the simple things, and my everyday surroundings. My songs are small time capsules capturing a specific feeling, moment, or situation that occurred in my life. My hope is to express life in an honest, raw and fun way through music.


I started my carrier through “musikkprisen” an annual competition for smaller artists. In 2021, I participated with the demo for my debut single “Won’t Change”. This gave me opportunities such as recording in the well renowned studio Ocean Sound Recordings. My newest single “Right Here” was recorded in the studio, and a few other songs that will be released soon. Thank you for listening and supporting me. Love EM.
