Emjay is a dance artist of French-Canadian decent, from Ottawa, and had a series of hits throughout the 90's. Her style was Eurodance with high-energy beat and powerful vocals. Her passion for music began at age 12 as a backup vocalist with a local band. The band won 8 American Guild Awards. In 1993, Emjay won 1st place as "Pop Solo Artist" at the AGA. In 1994 she recorded her 1st single “Sound Of My Heartbeat”, charted at #7 on The Record’s dance chart in Canada. More singles followed, “Fascinated” (a cover of the 1986 hit by Company B) rose to #5, “Flying To The Moon” to #3, and her biggest success “In Your Arms”, nominated as "Best Dance Recording" at the Juno Awards and "Best Dance Video" at the MuchMusic Video Awards. In 1995, Emjay’s 1st album, "In Your Arms" was released. In 1997 she recorded "We All Need Love" accompagnied by a video. In 1998, she was chosen as the opening act for The Backstreet Boys’ Canadian Tour. 1999 saw the release of "Over And Over", co-written by Billy Chapin, former guitarist of The Backstreet Boys, nominated for "Best Dance Recording" at the Junos.

After a hiatus, Emjay made her return in 2019 with a collaboration with Aba/Z Project on "Living My Life", an uplifting pop song allowing her to explore other facets of her voice. Besides her most recent collaboration with Phoenix Lord & Saggian with "As Above So Below", Emjay is working on her 2nd album entitled "Drama Queen", which will be released at the end of 2020.
