Emma-Kate Newlove was born and raised in the South Island of New Zealand! Growing up in the small town, Oāmaru.
She started writing songs at the age of 11, One of her first songs being about a boy who dropped his ice cream. All through High School Emma-Kate continued to write music, upload to YouTube and perform in school plays. She has collaborated on a few songs with <a href="spotify:artist:22WSbmToEUqZECbnfK4wF9" data-name="Jonte">Jonte</a> and the 2019 EP '<a href="spotify:album:14yi3xRj5GoISSr1cx8ZLS" data-name="Melancholy">Melancholy</a>'.
Emma-Kate released her first single '<a href="spotify:track:600uRINeoQr4mwpuDCOh6z" data-name="Gasoline">Gasoline</a>' on Spotify in February 2020, gaining over 3000 streams.
Emma-Kate released her second single '<a href="spotify:album:38YeC1i8BLpsZbUmAl309z" data-name="City Gates">City Gates</a>' in April 2020, <a href="spotify:track:3YYzBu6E3iS88b0gI3d41n" data-name="City Gates">City Gates</a> gained attention on the app tiktok getting over 45,000 views after Emma-Kate had made a short video featuring the song talking about how hard the New Zealand music industry is to break into.
Following that up with her EP '<a href="spotify:album:4Op1BlweGyOx9FdERmc53k" data-name="Station 7">Station 7</a>' in May 2020 which now has over 10,000 streams. Emma-Kate wrote, recorded, produced and mastered the whole EP from the comfort of her bedroom. Her biggest accomplishment to date.
Emma-Kates released her single 'Daisy' released on September 24th 2021. The Single has over 4,000 streams. 'Daisy' was written by Emma-Kate and produced by Auckland Producer Dean Oxford.
Emma-Kates 'BITTERSWEET' a song that erupted out of heartbreak on March 4th 2022.
