There is some serious intentionality at work and if there wasn't and it's just how it happened then those popsicle sticks landed just right.
The way the album wallows with weight of the emotions, hitting its valley at So Low. Then the perspective switch with Predator takes trauma (grief, anger, hopelessness) and becomes scary. The last two songs might be the most relatable to anyone listening. Erase Me in particular. Who hasn't felt like that at some point? But after how personal the first few songs were I think Erase Me becomes an invite for a listener to really share in some feelings with the EP. And My Own Private Phoenix isn't a full shift. The feelings of the EP stay present just like feelings always will unless you get a lobotomy. But the song is garnished with some positivity. Some hope. Some scar tissue. And it's a banger.
