Emotional Anhedonia

Emotional Anhedonia is an experimental avant-noise orchestra founded in July 2019 in Kamianets-Podilskyi by M. Klyshnatyi, co-founder of the music label ERYTHROLEUKOPLAKIA RECORDS.

The project gravitates toward constant change in sound, a lack of genre boundaries, and a new combination of instruments with each performance. Every new show by the group is a rather chaotic and unpredictable spectacle. Guest performers improvise and play guided solely by their own, unrestricted tastes, emotions, and ideas, making each concert take on entirely unexpected genre forms.

The band’s music shows influence from artists such as Mamaleek, Naked City, maudlin of the Well, Lightning Bolt, GY!BE, Prurient, Grouper, Vezha Khmar, as well as philosophical works like Luigi Russolo’s The Art of Noises and Dick Higgins’ Dangerous Music.
