Located in the Pacific Northwest, just beyond the fringes of Seattle, Emperorjones is the musical alter ego of Don Young. It’s here that these sonic interruptions are roughed out and offered in their sparsely produced and minimally polished form.

Inspired by the scenes of the Northwest these musical sketches draw from the tall timber, open waters and mountains of a rain-soaked Seattle region. However, one cannot survive on the misty greens alone. So the Emperor’s court regularly inhabits homeland #2, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Where sun, red clay and native insights are liberally sprinkled in to put everything in balance.

While these tracks are largely crafted for sync use in TV, film and advertising, these tracks also make a great sonic background to carry a listener through their day. Turn ‘em up and enjoy.

There are always new tracks in the works.
