Bursting onto the scene in 2023 with their rambunctious debut album <a href="spotify:album:2e1xP03dFC1nepQMcYDVCD" data-name="God Bless The Empire">God Bless The Empire</a>, streamed over 30,000 times and praised in over 31 countries for its' ruthless indie riffs and Noah Clegg’s spellbinding lyricism, Empire went from strength to strength in the four years they were a band - from supporting established bands such as <a href="spotify:artist:2hqiN72qqxLCWxAOqsxNoP" data-name="The Rosadocs">The Rosadocs</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:33ZIE3ltkvEwAk1OvVd6R8" data-name="Bravado Cartel">Bravado Cartel</a> to headlining sold out gigs at Oporto and the Lending Room in Leeds. Empire went back into the studio recording new music in 2024, starting with a release on 1st March, “Tarantino Movie”. Released to critical and commercial acclaim, and dubbed the biggest Empire song ever released, the band toured the record, playing venues such as the Lending Room and Oporto, and headlining the sold-out Northern Social in Pontefract, their hometown. Due to disputes and differences within the band, Empire disbanded in June 2024, leaving behind a legacy of being Pontefract’s most successful musical export to this day.
Empire were: Noah Clegg, Charlie Berry, Alex Fairhurst, Bailey Walker and Dylan Fairburn.
