Empress Imani is a Reggae Culture artist, Reggae Star Factor first runner up, Winner of Leeds Contribution to Black Music, Beffta Award Winner for Best Uk Reggae Act, Female Rising Star Award Winner in the Vibes FM Music Chart and a UK MOBO Fund Winner. She was born in the UK but spent much of her childhood on the beautiful island of St Vincent. Pivotal moments of her career include, The Legends of Reggae where Empress Imani supported a plethora of reggae superstars such as Marcia Griffiths, Freddy Mc Gregor, Junior Reid, and I Octane from out of Jamaica. Imani went on to join the lineup on the Uk Reggae Culturefest Tour with Luciano and Angola hit maker Jah Bouks, This tour enabled her to grace venues such as the o2 Islington, and the Clapham Grand. As a recording artist, Empress Imani’s Reggae Roots popular iTunes Release Conscious King found its way to BBC 1Xtra supported by David Rodigan and DJ Target and has since been a hit.
Memorable moments include when Imani took to the stage at the Wembley SSE Arena, where she was the only Uk female Support Act to open the show for Grammy Award winner Shabba Ranks, Maxi priest, Mr Vegas and Barrington Levi. Her catchy Single, What's Good for the Goose produced by Di-Mon Cut productions, is a reggaeville feature and favourite along with her most recent release 'Suga Wata'.
International shows included Estepona Reggae Festival in Spain, and Imani continues to leave an impact on audiences worldwide.
