Empyrean is a melodic, female-fronted symphonic metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas. Their progressive, European style is the brainchild of founders Catherine Beard and Jamie Pettus who envisioned a new sound, not only different from the styles they had played before, but also different from their contemporaries locally and worldwide. This sound would encompass many styles and forge them into a unique sound known as Empyrean. Empyrean blends metal influences with more traditional influences including the classical composers who shaped music. High energy and high IQ can both be found with Empyrean.
