Ehimanre Asuelinmen (known professionally as Emre Matthew) is a Nigerian composer celebrated for his evocative contributions to worship music, particularly in Catholic liturgy. Born in Abuja in 1993, his musical journey began in the chaplaincy choir at Loyola Jesuit College, where he honed his skills on multiple instruments. His passion for music deepened at the University of Lagos, where he started composing for the St. Cecilia Choir at the university chaplaincy.

Emre’s compositions are a captivating fusion of African rhythms, Western harmonies, and profound spirituality, drawing inspiration from legendary composers like James Horner, Christopher Tin, Hans Zimmer, Dan Forrest, and Mack Wilberg, as well as the vibrant textures of Western classical music and West African highlife.

A defining moment in his career came in October 2024, when he conducted a groundbreaking performance of his arrangement of "10,000 Reasons" in Lagos, Nigeria, featuring 1,000 singers—a testament to his vision of uniting tradition and innovation. Driven by a desire to create music that transcends borders, Emre Matthew continues to craft works that resonate with audiences worldwide, bridging cultures through the universal language of music.
