With a unique background and passion for learning from all walks of life, Chris Endrey is a fearless Australian artist of many stripes, based in Budapest.
The charismatic performer founded and fronted Fun Machine and PAINTonPAINT, who achieved cult status through their legendary shows and international tours and airplay. This path gave him the confidence and experience to focus upon more intimate, contemplative and artistically ambitious work through his dedicated solo project, Endrey.
His first album Lost + Found is a contiguous work written and recorded from mournful piano and opened a pathway to intimate vulnerability.
With momentum and show-honed skills, he received support to record his sophomore self-titled work, Endrey, a starkly dynamic and rich journey, largely recorded in the Hungarian countryside with longtime producer, Louis Montgomery (Slow Turismo).
He has supported Hermitude, The Darkness and The Cat Empire, played four consecutive Woodfords, produced the legendary nude party at Secret Garden, captained the musos to victory in the Reclink Community Cup, and even played a cabbage festival in Transylvania.
Outside of music, he produces and hosts Canbeurovision, has sold out headline shows at the Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals, given a TED talk on the nature of work in our society, and writes regularly on issues of social justice and cultural advocacy for the national newspapers.
An ambitious artist in full bloom, the best is still yet to come.
