ENDURE is an artist project founded by singer/songwriter, Jay Denton, that makes global, collaborative albums featuring artists from conflict zones around the world alongside more established artists in Los Angeles, CA, and Nashville, TN.
Currently Denton is working with military veterans on an album that will showcase their stories and voices.
The Debut ENDURE album, For Home, began when Denton traveled to Lebanon in 2019 to meet, write, and record with Syrian refugees and an Iraqi refugee displaced by the war in their homeland. Returning to Los Angeles, Jay then worked with LA artists at, Endure Studios, and finished recording and producing the album, which features both US artists and refugee artists - mixing sounds, styles, voices, and languages (English, Arabic, Kurdish).
“For Home” was released in three chapters throughout 2020, culminating in the full length 24-track deluxe version album at the end of the year.
With it’s unique nature, and the power of the music backing the story, ENDURE has garnered attention from the United Nations (UNHCR), American Songwriter Magazine, Risen Magazine, Authority Magazine, and Shine On Hollywood, with featured articles and interviews from each, alongside various local news outlets in Los Angeles, Egypt, Beirut, Syria, and Kurdistan.
Filmaker, Jake Green, of Peaceful Sea Productions made full length documentary, ENDURE: Lebanon, about the project, the process, and the stories behind the songs - featured on Amazon Prime.
