Enki

Erik Alexander Dorfman, also known as <a href="spotify:artist:7GSvkY0P8Dzg0CgXgR1Yle" data-name="Enki">Enki</a>, was born in 2002 in Trieste, a city located in Northeastern Italy. However, he grew up in a small town called Montpelier, located in the state of Vermont, USA. Enki was raised bilingual. Growing up he frequently switched schools. While attending high school he went to a different school every year. Along with this, he also grew up traveling the globe. This helped him get a better sense of our world and the different people that it is composed of.


Enki’s love for music, especially Hip-Hop and Rap, started at a very young age. He would listen to artists like <a href="spotify:artist:7dGJo4pcD2V6oG8kP0tJRR" data-name="Eminem">Eminem</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:20qISvAhX20dpIbOOzGK3q" data-name="Nas">Nas</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:30fiiwr2EeZp1tAhzYCmyM" data-name="Big L">Big L</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:09hVIj6vWgoCDtT03h8ZCa" data-name="A Tribe Called Quest">A Tribe Called Quest</a>, and the <a href="spotify:artist:2WKdxPFRD7IqZvlIAvhMgY" data-name="Fugees">Fugees</a>. As he grew he began to listen to more modern rappers like <a href="spotify:artist:2P5sC9cVZDToPxyomzF1UH" data-name="Joey Bada$$">Joey Bada$$</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:51Pn4gGnZuyOMDfIT1Zy3N" data-name="The Underachievers">The Underachievers</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0eDvMgVFoNV3TpwtrVCoTj" data-name="Pop Smoke">Pop Smoke</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:757aE44tKEUQEqRuT6GnEB" data-name="Roddy Ricch">Roddy Ricch</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6TIYQ3jFPwQSRmorSezPxX" data-name="Machine Gun Kelly">Machine Gun Kelly</a>.


Living in rural Vermont taught Enki the preciousness of nature. From a young age he became an environmental activist working to push for sustainable change locally, nationally, and internationally. Enki saw the connections between ecological degradation and social oppression. Therefore, as a way to try to make an impact in the world, he created an eco-feminist Hip-Hop album called Liberating Gaia, in his first-ever musical project.


He has a lot of music coming out in 2021 and he wants to show the world his artistic versatility. He wants to expand his audience and grow his followers.
