Ent (also called James) is a 19 year-old amateur comedian based in the UK. He would describe himself as “brain dead”, “criminally handsome”, ”lanky”, and “sometimes funny”.

'Phlegmcore' originated when he and his longtime friend Why Isaac thought it would be funny if James released music before Isaac. Instead of making music they created one of the worst intentionally awful EPs in existence “Louder than Words”. The EP used only a Guitar and a Keyboard (with some guest vocals from James’ less than impressed Mother), which meant that the entire EP was done in one take. Due to an infuriated response from Fans, the two friends decided to continue the project, with the Second EP, “Actions Speak” being released on the 5th of October 2019. This EP deviated significantly from the first, creating more electronic and experimental pieces, with the improvised nature of the first EP remaining in James' vocals.

With lockdown turning both Ent and Why Isaac’s life upside down, the two decided to use it as a catalyst to create a feature-length album. On October 2nd, the feature length album ‘Phlegmcore’ was released. The Album deviates significantly from the first EP, with Genres like Electronic music, Pop, Death Metal, Punk, and Rock. “Just the one gec actually” would serve as the flagship single, gaining its own music video on September 11th and garnering almost 300 views on YouTube.
