Janine Tshela Nzua, better known as Epoque, is a Congolese-born singer and rapper from Turin (IT), who grew up between Paris, Brussels and Italy. Inspired by hers favorite artists and genres Epoque shaped her own style with Afro sounds, in which R’N’B melody alternates with rap. Her conscious lyrics, in which she mixes Italian, French and Lingala, the language of the Democratic Republic of Congo, combined with a meeting of musicality and Afro rhythms, gives her style an international flair.
