Singer, songwriter, and Tallahassee native Eric Durrance has a firm background in country music thanks to his step-dad, who played guitar, piano, and drums, and his mother and grandfather, who taught him to sing harmony, and his grandparents, who played him <a href="spotify:artist:2OpqcUtj10HHvGG6h9VYC5">George Jones</a>. Later Durrance gravitated to the country-tinged pop of <a href="spotify:artist:0ECwFtbIWEVNwjlrfc6xoL">the Eagles</a> and the songwriting styles of <a href="spotify:artist:5W5bDNCqJ1jbCgTxDD0Cb3">Willie Nelson</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6kACVPfCOnqzgfEF5ryl0x">Johnny Cash</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:0vYQRW5LIDeYQOccTviQNX">Kris Kristofferson</a>, and while he is a fine singer, it's his songwriting that remains at the center of his recordings.
