Eric Nelson

Eric Nelson is a singer/songwriter from Red Oak, Iowa who has performed and recorded Americana/Folk Rock in the Midwest for the past 25 years.

Nelson's music is layered with playful melodies that serve as the sonic backdrop for his well-penned storylines. His goal is to relate to the listener with the best possible balance of joy, sorrow and humor. Every listener is provided a front row seat within every song.

Throughout his career, Nelson has played and/or recorded with artists such as Kirk "Skinny" Webb, Pony Creek, Owen Justice, B-Side-3, Dan Sullivan, Ben Green, Jason Reed and Brian Joens. Nelson has shared the stage with many other area artists and as the lead guitarist for Pony Creek, has opened for national acts including the Eli Young Band, Casey Donahew, Colt Ford and Randall King.

After 13 years, Nelson is most excited to be back in the studio recording his fourth solo album. "This album will remain true to my style. However, I think this will be my most well rounded album," Nelson said.

In addition to recording, Nelson most recently started a social media music series called "Bandwagon." It is a platform to showcase musical guests in the Southwest Iowa/Omaha music scene. "All of the artists in our area are connected in some way. We may have never been in the same room together, but we've more than likely worked with someone else who does share a common thread." said Nelson. He added, "It's gratifying to connect those dots and share a sonic moment together."
