Eric Pressler is an indie singer-songwriter & guitarist whose music blends the spirit & experimentation of 90’s alt-rock with the stripped-down soul of classic acoustic folk.
Born & raised in Indianapolis, Eric began his musical journey in the early 90s performing in numerous bands & releasing several recordings. In 2002, he left his hometown & moved to Chicago, then Nashville, then Columbus, OH, where he’s been based since 2004. His sound—often compared to artists like Radiohead, Beck, Jeff Buckley, & Damien Rice—draws from a diverse range of influences: from Nirvana to Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis to Bob Dylan, Portishead to BB King & all points in between.
Eric's musical roots stretch back to his high school days, where he joined his first band & was deeply inspired by the rock music of the 60’s & the 90’s Seattle scene. He honed his craft in numerous bands—most notably Stickmen Music, which toured extensively throughout the Midwest & East Coast in the early 2000s. After years of performing in a variety of bands & genres, including funk, rock, blues, & acoustic groups, Eric embraced his passion for songwriting & began recording & releasing solo music.
In 2021, Eric released his EP Home Recordings & followed that up with several singles in 2022 and 2023. These projects highlight his DIY approach to music-making—he wrote, performed, recorded, produced, and mastered all of the songs himself using only two microphones, a laptop, & an array of instruments.
