Eric Schaffer & the Other Troublemakers

Since 2015, Eric Schaffer & The Other Troublemakers have been entertaining crowds throughout Arizona and beyond with a musical style that flows between Country, Folk-Rock and "Singer-Songwriter".


Eric’s vocals have been compared to Steve Earle and Kris Kristofferson. He is a 4-time finalist in the Tucson Folk Festival Songwriter Competition, a semi-finalist in the Great American Song Contest and winner of the Tumbleweed Music Festival Songwriting Competition. The band has opened for several major artists including Clint Black, Marc Cohn and Lonestar.

Lead guitarist/vocalist Loren Dircks is known as one of Arizona’s most accomplished pickers. He was the front man/lead guitarist for Gila Bend when they pioneered “Country-Punk” in the 90’s. Bassist Jess Barrera is not only a fine multi-instrumentalist, but a trained opera singer who has performed nationwide, including Carnegie Hall.

Newest Other Troublemaker Daniel Thomas is an accomplish drummer/vocalist who has been a mainstay in the Tucson music scene for years.
