Eric Straumanis is a guitarist/singer/songwriter from Fort Collins, Colorado. He found his stride musically in the 90s playing in college based, alt country and roots rock bands in Iowa City, Iowa, in the shadow of Greg Brown, Bo Ramsey and Dave Moore. While in Iowa he toured and recorded as a part of David Zollo and the Body Electric and Kelly Pardekooper and the Horse Buyers. In Fort Collins he has been a part of Jeff Finlin's live band and played on two of his albums, Live Songs for the Ice Age and My Moby Dick. Eric has three albums of original music, All Your Passing Through, Thunder and the Plains and The Weight of Nothing to Lose. New for 2020, he has released a single, You Are Going to Hear Me. It's throwback angry folk rock in the vein of Mr's Young and Petty with a nod to the punk ethos of Social Distortion.
