Eric Zay has built a notable career as a musician, producer, and composer, contributing to international advertising campaigns, soundtracks, and collaborations with major artists. His work includes composing music for leading global companies (such as Nissan, Toyota, McDonald’s, Toshiba, Kewpie, Sony, Mitsubishi, etc.) producing soundtracks for their TV commercials. Eric’s compositions for these brands have been part of high-profile campaigns that aired internationally, reinforcing his versatility in merging commercial appeal with artistic integrity. Eric has also contributed to film soundtracks, such as for the opening and ending theme for Black Jack, an animation by Tezuka Osamu and the ending theme for Golgo 13: Queen Bee ‘Turquoise Blue’. He has collaborated with major artists, including Shogun, Roger McGuinn from The Byrds, Sugizo (from Luna Sea and X Japan), both on tour and in the studio. Eric has also toured and recorded with Ken Lloyd from Oblivion Dust/FAKE?, showcasing his talent as a multi-instrumentalist.

Eric is also a founding member of Bloom UnderGround, an experimental music collective that blends ambient textures, improvisation, and genre-defying arrangements. The group’s boundary-pushing style reflects his appetite for sonic exploration.
