Erica Steenkamp

From the Western Cape, South Africa, Erica Steenkamp is the youngest of three children born to a church Pastor and spent her early years immersed in the singing of farm workers and the harmonies of church choirs.

Arriving in the UK Erica briefly lived in the North East of England before moving to London. She began writing songs in her early twenties, and after raising her three children ran several successful businesses including the café mentioned in the title track of this album.

All songs were recorded between 2023 and 2025 and feature Christopher Newland on guitars and production. Among many others, Chris has played with Soca artist Arrow, featuring on his international hit ‘Hot Hot Hot’, not to forget Sister Sledge, Odyssey, Mick Ronson and Felix Pappalardi.
