Pennsylvania native Erich Cawalla is an extremely versatile recording artist, vocalist, saxophonist, educator, and artist manager. His performing style invokes a jazz swinging yet contemporary R&B sound mixing some of his biggest influences including Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Smokey Robinson, David Sanborn, Chet Baker, Frankie Valli, Kenny Rankin, and John Pizzarelli, to name a few.
Cawalla has been featured on recordings with legendary artists including Will Lee, Leonard "Doc" Gibbs, Chuck Loeb, Rick Braun, Brian Bromberg, and Greg Adams. He is releasing his debut solo album "Erich Cawalla - The Great American Songbook" featuring a traditional 17-Piece Big Band with String Orchestra in 2022. The highly anticipated album showcases legendary Grammy-winning Trumpeter Randy Brecker, Violin Virtuoso Karen Briggs, and some of the Northeast's most-gifted musicians including Marko Marcinko, Steve Rudolph, Bennie Sims, Andrew Neu, Larry McKenna, Eddie Severn, David Cullen, Rob Stoneback, and many more. It was recorded at Spyro's Modern Music and Boom! Camp Studios in Cawalla's hometown of Reading, PA.
Cawalla is a BMI-affiliated songwriter, a Grammy Voting Member, and even holds a BSBA in Accounting from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
