Hailing from New York City, twenty-three-year-old Erika Leah has always been fascinated by music, crawling towards her grandmother’s piano every morning when she was just a baby. She began playing piano at the age of five, continuing her classical training all the way until twelve, when she switched to jazz. With jazz as a new musical outlet, Leah started to compose her own music using the improvisational skills that this new medium fostered. What started out as iPhone recordings of singing in her bedroom, soon became long nights of teaching herself music production. Over time Leah self-released a slew of singles, AN EP, and a debut album at only seventeen-years-old.
