Early in the process, both Negash & Static realized that their habit of overthinking things was holding them back.
They decided to take on a different approach. An approach that would foster creative flow.
Mistakes were okay. The imperfect was okay.
These two guidelines unleashed a creative fire that both partners craved.
The error.is.human project was born, and the following output became characterized by a playful attitude and a great depth in both style and execution.
“new.phaze” is the first release. The track resonates with the consequences that the lockdown can have on a persons psyche.
“What is this age I’m in? Pacing in a cage, I’m kept! Feeling like doomsday, doomsday - WELL THEN MAKE ROOM FOR A NEW PHAZE”
The single is accompanied by the street single “rap.like”. An uncompromising banger, where Negash lets his train of thought take over.
It’s been 10 years since Static & Negash worked together on Majors and Negash Ali’s debut album Asmarino.
They have reunited to challenge each other and push their own boundaries.
