"One time for the great side."
Esemon Raymond's style of music, which he's given a designated genre (Hip-Rhythm); is inspired by jazz, classic hip-hop, and R&B. Music was no longer a priority to Raymond for almost three years, he lost his zeal for it. He released his first album "Ray's World" in January 2017; which had been in the works six years prior, the album was finally finished fall of 2015. Because of lack of support, he stalled the release date.
His most popular phrase "One time for the great side" is derived from a brotherhood that he once shared with some close childhood friends. “The Great Side” represents the love and respect they all shared with each other. “The Great Side” represents growth, success and brotherhood. The song "My Vibe," depicts some of that, and is a fan favorite.
Raymond would release later an EP, "The Vault: Re-Released" in fall of 2017, with "No Pressure" being a fan favorite as well. In 2019, he released a single “Feelings Anonymous,” which featured an intro from Cheick Sy-Savane. “Music is just a pass time for me these days.” - Esemon Raymond (2019)
