Engr. Kins Okafor, known by his stage name Eskimr, was formerly recognized as <a href="spotify:artist:0zwR3ZNyWsxG4EVzVnc18E" data-name="Xschemer">Xschemer</a> of <a href="spotify:artist:28gz53UKa2oTC5LZsmAW5h" data-name="XSLD">XSLD</a>, an award-winning Afrobeat duo hailing from the vibrant region of South East Nigeria.
Eskimr's journey into music began in 2008 when he dropped his locally launched debut album, "De-Xplicit," featuring the hit song "Me & You" with collaborator J.Arizy. As a talented producer, Eskimr worked at Kefah Studio, where he played a pivotal role in crafting numerous successful tracks for renowned artists such as Slow dog, Slim Brown, Dontom, Stormrex, and Hype Mc. In 2010, he teamed up with his elder brother, Francis, known as Dj Masta, and formed the iconic music duo XSLD. During their partnership, XSLD produced several chart-topping songs between 2010 and 2013, including hits like "<a href="spotify:album:3tRk8rZPwmO8XZZ6s6OOZp" data-name="2012">2012</a>," "<a href="spotify:track:032rPmvhSYUkcF2ADxeNe1" data-name="Hate 2 Loose">Hate 2 Loose</a>," and "<a href="spotify:track:0RKbPUXlpZpKcEc0g7rUEB" data-name="Onyinye">Onyinye</a>." In 2023, Eskimr underwent a significant rebranding, changing his stage name to Eskimr and signing with the record label Badman Music Group (BMMG) Records.
