R&B artist Ess3x adds to the long list of talent that comes out of New Jersey. At 22 years old, producing all of his music right off of his phone, he brings a raw and unique sound that draws listeners to replay it. The classic guitar samples he often uses along with his basslines help define his signature style, being influenced by J dilla, Dominic Fike, Steve Lacy, etc, who also influence his vocals.
Ess3x goes back and forth experimenting with his singing and rapping, saying he doesn’t “know which one I’m better at, it’s just fun to do both.” Each new release comes with a new element to his musicality and it will only continue to become more and more captivating as this early career takes off.
