Essen Hiort is a Swedish emo-electronica duo with its roots in indiepop, Hiphop and RnB. Founding member Essen has a background as a hiphop-DJ, known for playing clubs all over Scandinavia, who later turned to production and is now a grammy-nominated songwriter in Sweden. Hiort comes from a indie rock-background, having played in a former famous "Swindie"-band signed to Island Def Jam.
