Wellington-based producer ESSKAY is a passionate newcomer to the drum and bass scene. Born in the UK but raised in New Zealand, his musical path began not in a studio, but on the dancefloor after the incredible energy of a local drum and bass event left a lasting mark.
With little prior electronic music background, he began teaching himself production in November 2023, driven by a deep appreciation for the culture and a desire to recreate the feeling that first captivated him.
Now honing his craft in Wellington's vibrant scene, ESSKAY is focused on translating his love for heavy basslines and catchy melodies into his own tracks. Excited to learn and grow as an artist, he is at the start of his journey and hopes to contribute to the community he has come to admire so much.
