Esther Von Haze

Esther Von Haze (Turnhout, 1991) is a Belgian singer who has developed a great love for music at a young age. She moved to Amsterdam at the age of 21 where she met producers Nelson and Djosa.

For her debut album Von Haze worked in the studio together with Nelson and Djosa for over more than 1 year. A new sound consisting of a mix of avant-garde and retro pop, with acoustic instruments blended with electronic sounds was developed. This sound combined with Esther’s virtuoso voice appears filmic and exotic.

Esther Von Haze is the pop alias of Esther Van Hees, who works mostly as a jazz singer. In 2025 she sang at the North Sea Jazz Festival for the release of 'The Second Time Around', the latest album of the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. Esther is also the front woman of indie jazz duo Blue Sands. With the album 'For You' Blue Sands was nominated for an Edison Award in the category Vocal Jazz in 2025. Esther has also released Dutch Cabaret albums. And is planning a new Dutch release in 2026. In the fall of 2025 a bigband album with Atlantic Jazz Lab orchestra will drop.
