Samoan vocalist/producer Ete. blends R&B / Afro-fusion / pop with traditional Polynesian for a sound that is equal parts intriguing and infectious. His ear as a producer is influenced by multiple faucets having discovered a love for rock and pop music at a young age and later being introduced to hiphop/rap by his older brother.
Born in Wellington NZ and raised in Samoa, he grew up with dreams that outgrew the islands. He began performing at an early age in church productions and school shows. At age 7 his parents enrolled him to classical piano lessons where he lasted for 4 Grades. He discovered music production in college (year 11) when a friend of his had a crack version of Fruity Loops (FL Studio) that he downloaded into his parents' laptop.
Ete. spends most of his career behind the scenes helping Polynesian artists with their vision as well as music directing and sound designing stage shows.
