Melbourne band Eternal Crush are made up of vocalist & songwriter Stephanie and guitarist & producer Jackson Holliday (Northeast Party House). The pair met at a house party in 2016 where they discovered they were neighbours with a shared love of The Stone Roses & New Order. They then went on to form Eternal Crush, finding harmony writing together with Jean on vocals and Holliday playing guitar.
An early demo found it’s way into the Outpost office’s weekly Wednesday meeting and by Friday the pair had been offered a management deal. In March 2019, Eternal Crush began recording their debut EP with Gab Strum (Japanese Wallpaper) in his Melbourne studio.
After releasing their debut single ‘Lucifer’ mid last year - which received airplay on triple j & 3RRR - the duo sold out their first ever live show at Workers Club, before finishing off the year playing with Miami Horror at the Corner Hotel.
With Eternal Crush’s debut tour in April 2020 cancelled due to COVID-19 the pair bunkered down in Jean’s makeshift studio/kitchen in Castlemaine to record their new single ‘Only Me’. Speaking of the fourth single off their upcoming narrative driven debut EP, Jean says “‘Only Me’ is an upbeat song about realising your worth, wanting respect & being ready to free yourself & move forward.”
‘Only Me’ is out on all platforms 31st July 2020.
